As tensions with the United States rise over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and regional security issues, Tehran has been flaunting its military capabilities and asserting its preparedness in the face of a possible attack.
In recent weeks, Iran has opened a new air base, unveiled new domestically produced military hardware, and issued defense pronouncements at a rapid-fire pace.
At a military parade on September 22 to mark the 27th anniversary of Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Iran, the Iranian military presented what it claimed was a new, medium-range ballistic missile.

TEHRAN — Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said here on Saturday that Iranian missiles pose no threat to any country.
“Iranian missiles pose no threat to any country, and they will only come down on the heads of those who violate the territorial integrity of Iran,” Najjar told Defense Ministry Diplomatic Committee members at a meeting in the capital.

I find this real interesting because I had recently read some blogs about Iran. I’m a U.S. citizen and supporter, a Catholic, and a supporter of Israel. As for the issue with the Palestinians, I firmly believe a state of Israel should be allowed to exist… However Palestine must be allowed to exist also in some form… a compromise of sorts. Iran is an old and interesting country full of history that we could learn from, and it deserves our respect as do all Middle Eastern Nations. I do not support the War in Iraq and Afghanistan, but I do support the troops there because they are fighting for us and dying for us. I agree that Iran has a right to persue its interests, I’ve always believed that the U.S. of all nations should not police whether a country should have nuclear capabilities or not. In fact we were the only ones who actually and purposefully used nuclear weapons in a war and on two cities which still suffer from the effects of this powerful weapon. I completly disagree with the se of nuclear weapons because they are simply too powerful to be used and even though what we did saved American lives, it crushed many innocent people. Back to Iran though, it cannot expect to gain respect by totally insulting the United States and Israel as it has been doing. To deny the Holocaust is a terrible offense, and the Holocaust was probably the worst genocide so far in history. Some argue that when the colonists destroyed Native Americans that was bad, which it was. None the less millions of people because of their beliefs were tortured, raped, and killed mercelesly in gas chambers or ovens. They were even experimented on by the Nazis… Come on now thats not right to deny that when mass graves, the actual death camps, and a ton of other evidence is being uncovered by the year… Iran should be allowed to persue its nuclear interests and defend national rights but not at the expense of others… Peace
Just one more thing, I remember reading about how God was on the side of Iran not the U.S. and the Europeans. Just a few things about that, the U.S. and Europeans are Jews and Christians (some of us anyways) which means we worship the same God or Yaweh. God and Yaweh are the same God as Allah, and further more God is just, merciful and most of all love… I have read the bible and the Qur’an so I actually know what I’m talking about. We may have our differences, but if we actually worked together and stopped squabeling over which form to worship God is right then we’d actually might see an era of religious tolerance and religious peace which would end age old conflicts. These issues with Iran arn’t all region but some of it truly is. So don’t bring God into a conflict between men because when it comes down to it God dosnt want a battle He wants peace.. This is the purpose religion was intended to serve on this Earth. Sadly it went way off its course… Like I said before I’m Catholic and completly disagree with what the Church had done in its years of power. None the less it is more excepting though I still disagree on a few of its teachings. What I’m trying to explain is that Islam in Iran has taken this radical course just like Christianity did hundreds of years ago. A religion without love, mercy, and compassion is no religion at all. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are religions of hope, faith, and love… not some things to be used as tools to persecute people or control them.

The Feds definition of money includes cash, deposits, loans, credit cards ect. So, as is currently the case, the Fed has printed a ton of money but it is offset by the lack of loans. The total money supply has not gone up. As credit increases, the Fed will take bills out of circulation.
Inflation happens when the sum of all forms of money expands. 2-3% inflation has always been thought to be healthy in an economy. This helps avoid unemployment.
Oh, hopefully the Iranian people will get a handle on their government before they are all blown to hell, which is exactly what will happen. I do not know if anyone will read this as this post is over two years old. However, as an Iranian/American I often find myself torn in many ways as to what is going on between my two homes. I find it problematic as I live in the United States and often the only insight people have about my beloved Iran is what they hear or see on the news or radio. Unfortunately, to completely understand our nation one must look throughout the entire history of mankind. As Persia was the first empire of the human race we have a claim to the entire history of government, religion, human rights, and many of the medical procedures that are in place today. Many people have never heard of Cyrus’s cylinder which is by the entire world attributed as the first ever declaration of Human Rights in our history. With all of this as I have read through these comments I find it heart wrenching that the opposing viewpoints on this blog are doing exactly what Tehran and Washington want us to do and that is fight and disagree of the semantics of government rather than looking at all Iranians and Americans as human beings. I do not support our wars in Afghanistan or Iraq. However, I wish no harm to come to our men and women in uniform as they are doing their jobs which is why the enlisted in the first place was to a higher calling to sacrifice themselves for the security of me, my family, and the rest of the citizens in the United States. I have a very very good friend in the Corp. and I hope every time I hear the word deployment he will not be placed in harms way. I would respond to Human Being by stating that this regime is not the first to stand firmly and defiantly for Iran. Muhammad Mossadegh was the first to ever stand for Iranians based on nationalistic pride in our nation and the United States and Britain saw an end to his regime. Ayatollah Khomeini stated that nationalism was unimportant as long as Islam prevailed. I am not religious per say. However, I believe Islam, Christainity, and Judaism all are Abrahamic religions and thus making all of us brothers and sisters in our love of God, Allah, and Yaweh. With this in mind love and patriotism in ones nation is nothing to be ashamed of. However, we must look for the most peaceful solution in all matters as death and destruction hurts the world and not just the people directly affected. Military parades and muscle flexing accomplish nothing if we abolish the possibilites of peace and love in our world. Divided as a human race we all fail. Through love and understand PEACE IS POSSIBLE.

We should drop Portable toilets- so many that the WAR LORDS won”t be able to control there dipensation.
FINALLY : We (any government not in the middle east) must keep our ALWAYS failing military and hardware out of the middle east.
