Update 2: Video of Cruise saluting L Ron Hubbard at the Scientology The Freedom Medal Award Ceremony. Check out that humongous ‘Freedom Medal Of Valor’ (for Achievement in the Field of Excellence) around his neck! Cheesy! Scroll down.

Imagine, if you will…You’re traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of dementia. A journey into a mysterious land whose boundaries are that of a bizarro universe. That’s the sign post up ahead, your next stop… The Church of Scientology.
Or as I prefer to refer to it as….The Twilight Zone.
Embedded video
Ne ne ne ne ne ne ne ne….
As Nick Denton of Gawker puts it.
You have to watch this video. It shows Tom Cruise, with all the wide-eyed fervor that he brings to the promotion of a movie, making the argument for Scientology, the bizarre 20th-century religion. Making the argument is an understatement. The Hollywood actor, star of movies such as Mission Impossible, is a complete fanatic.
The Scientology police are having YouTube remove copies of the video. “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Church of Scientology International” If a video I have embedded becomes no longer available. You can head on over to Gawker to view it, they are hosting their own copy. I am off now to find a copy to post. BRB. Done! Daily Motion saved the day.
A rep for Cruise says: “The video is of Mr. Cruise making an acceptance speech to fellow parishioners at a private church event in 2004.”
When you’re a Scientologist, and you drive by an accident, you know you have to do something about it, because you know you’re the only one who can really help. We are the authorities on getting people off drugs. We are the authorities on the mind…. We are the way to happiness. We can bring peace and unite cultures. Now is the time. Being a Scientologist. People are turning to you. If you are a Scientologist, you see things the way they are, in all their glory, in all their complexity… It’s rough and tumble. It’s wild and woolly. It’s a blast. It really is. It is fun. Because damn it, there is nothing better than going out there and fighting the fight, and suddenly you see — boom! — things are better. I want to know that I’ve done everything I can do, every day… I do what I can. And I do it the way I do everything. – Tom Cruise
Freaky deaky!
Tom Cruise Scientology Indoctrination Video transcript @ Rapid Eye Reality
Update:
Here is a quick glossary to help you through the transcript:
KSW: Keeping Scientology WorkingSP: Suppressive Person
Org: Presumbly synoymous with Sea Org, as described on the Scientology web site as “religious order for the Scientology religion and is composed of the most dedicated Scientologists in the world—individuals who have dedicated their lives to the service of their religion”
David Miscavige: Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center (RTC), a non-profit organization formed in 1982 to preserve, maintain and protect the Scientology religion. (From Scientology web site)
Out-Ethics: The opposite of Scientology’s version of Ethics, the main tool used in practice of Scientology.
LRH: L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of Church of Scientology
Tech: A form of written instruction/courses provided to Scientology followers
IAS: International Association of Scientologists, the official membership organization of Scientology
Cruise: I think it’s a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist and it is something that you have to earn, and…because a Scientologist does. He, or she has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions. Uh, being a Scientologist, you look at somebody and you know absolutely that you can help them. (cut)
(Laughs) And uh, they said, “So, have you been an SP” (big laugh) I looked at them and I thought, “What a beautiful thing,” because maybe one day it will be like that, you know? You know what I’m saying. Maybe one day it will be that “Wow, SP, they just read about those in the history books.” You know? (cut)
I just got through that tech, and it’s literally…it’s not how to run from an SP. It’s (acronym of some sort), how to shatter suppression, confront and shatter suppression. You apply it, and it’s like, boom. (cut)
Because, they don’t come up to be and do that. They don’t do it to me. Not to my face, or anywhere in my vicinity where they feel they can confronted, you know. They just don’t do it. (cut)
From what I gather about ‘SP’s” (see below) I have came up with a brilliant idea. We should send an army of scientologists after radical Islam. They “will shatter suppression, confront and shatter suppression. They’ll apply it, and, boom.” What a brilliant ’supah weapon’ we have in our midst. Tommy we will give you a snappy General’s uniform. You would like that now wouldn’t you? You know you would. Shiny stars ands all. Go get ‘em tiger!
Suppressive Person, often abbreviated SP, is a term used in Scientology to describe the “antisocial personalities” who, according to Scientology’s founder L. Ron Hubbard, make up about 2.5% of the population. Another 18% are PTS (Potential Trouble Source), as a result of the SPs. A statement on a Church of Scientology website describes this group as including notorious historic figures such as Adolf Hitler and Genghis Khan as well as others who “are less obviously seen.”[1]
The term is often applied to those whom the Church of Scientology perceives as its enemies, i.e. those whose “disastrous” and “suppressive” acts are said to impede the progress of individual Scientologists or the Scientology movement
Hitler/Genghis Khan types are only the “enemies of scientology”? That is quite an astonishing and oh so false statement. I think Hitler had a hand in much much much more than “impeding the progress of individual Scientologists or the Scientology movement”!
/update
Scientology fails to delete crazy Tom Cruise video
The video — which seems like some sort of Scientology pitch film, in which Cruise describes the advantages of KSW (”Keeping Scientology Working“) and the dangers of SPs and PTSs (suppressive persons and potential trouble sources) — is copyrighted by the Church of Scientology. (I’ve put in a request with the Church to ask about why they’re pulling it down.)
Nobody knows where it came from, or why it’s popped up online now, at the same time that Andrew Morton’s salacious unauthorized biography of Cruise — which the Church has criticized — is being published.
BY NICK DENTON AT 01/13/08 09:02 PMThis was the best of the clips, but the Cruise Control website, a companion to Morton’s forthcoming book, has others. I think they’ll open them up on Tuesday, when the biography of the Hollywood star is finally released.

Small updates here *:
*The German Protestant Church compared the Hollywood film star Tom Cruise to the Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels yesterday and claimed the actor was using his celebrity status to publicise the controversial Church of Scientology, of which he is a prominent member.
The criticism of Mr Cruise, who is in Germany to make a film about an attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler, was the most vitriolic in a series of attacks on the actor over his membership of Scientology – regarded as a cult in Germany and kept under surveillance.
Thomas Gandow, 60, chief spokesman on religious cults for the German Protestant Church, described Scientology as a “totalitarian organisation” and said that Mr Cruise had become “the Goebbels of Scientology”.
This page contains information The Rick A. Ross Institute has gathered about Scientology.
Major update of note from Gawker:
Including scanned photos of the request and the response from Gawker Media. Priceless.
Church of Scientology Claims Copyright Infringement
Gawker Media has received a copyright infringement notice. Below, the request to remove clips posted to Gawker and Defamer as part of our coverage of the Tom Cruise biography; and, after that, Gawker’s refusal to comply.

Oh man, I didn’t know about all of the other videos, this is too bizarre!
Thanks, Scarlett!
I’ll say it is bizarre! Odd how Scientology is against drugs. ‘Cause Cruise sure seems whacked out on something.
That revved up enthusiasm can not be a natural high. Can it? He ‘cruises’ at warped speed.
Recall his now infamous behavior on the Oprah show? Yeah he is normal… [roll eyes]
I know this post is off of my usual beaten path. But I have become fascinated with it all.
