Sentence of whipping , and assaulting an Iranian Christian couple

A Christian couple were sentenced to be whipped and were announced Mortad by the Justice Court Of Revolution , for attending a home based church and having devotional time.
We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God. ( Acts 14:22)
FCNN_ An Iranian Christian couple ( their names are kept confidential in FCNN ) were arrested along with other believers on Sep. 21.2005 by the Government agents. They had gathered in a house in a town northwest of Tehran ( Gohar dasht ) for their regular prayer and devotional time.
After about two years , on July 2007 their case was submitted to the Court of Revolution, brach 3. According to the report , this Christian couple decided to marry seven years ago but, because of some boundaries in Iranian Churches regarding the rules of Marriage between ex-Muslims and other ethnics in Iran, they were rejected a Christian legal certificated wedding ceremony , so they decided to have their wedding outside the church by the Islamic Law.
The woman was born a Christian in an Assyrian-Iranian family and the man was converted to Christianity long before they married. According to the Court of Revolution , wedding of non-muslims by the Islamic Law is equivalent to conversion to Islam. So , the confession of faith in Christ before the Judge by the wife was an indication of turning to christianity again , therefor she was announced a Mortad ( a person who turns away from Islam, in this case the sentence is death). The same was with the husband.
According to the Court they had to present themselves to the Authorities on a regular basis and sign a paper until the court decides the punishment. The building they had to go to is located on somewhere near the Azadi Square . The only people in that building were civic agents.
The last time the wife was present there to make a signature , one of the agents ( who was called Haj Agha , a clergy man ) sexually abused her . As a result she was so terrified that she decided not to go back there again , not even for a signature!
After few days , on September 2007 , two female and 4 male agents go to this couple’s house and by showing them an official letter from the Court , execute the sentence of whipping right there in their house.
According to the latest news , this couple are under a high mental pressure right now

According to the Farsi Christian News Network ( FCNN ), an Iranian Christian, A . Sh , ( for security reasons , FCNN keeps the person’s identity protected ) was arrested and imprisoned by the Security Agents , after he had a car accident with a security escort car on May 4th 2007.Jesus in Luke 12:8 regarding the subject says :” Whoever acknowledges me before men, the son of man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God “
Agents , after hearing that he was converted to Christianity began to beat him up severely and then tossed him into the car , transporting him to Station 102 of Islamic Military ( Sepah Pasdaran)
The report , then , adds that one of the agents inside the prison accused him of heresy by turning from Islam to Christianity , calling him Mortad , then began to torture him by whipping and lashing him severely without any legal charges or court sentence.
Finally after 2 days being in prison and tortured , he was released through the efforts of his family and by giving a financial collateral to authorities.
We as Christians , have learned from our Lord Jesus Christ to forgive our persecutors just as He, being nailed on the cross , said :
Father , forgive them , for they do not know what they are doing . Luke 23:34
Recently the Fox News Network listed Iran as the 3rd country in the world in which Christians are being persecuted. Fox News also claimed , Iran is rapidly moving to the top of the list. Source.

Hmmm… Well what I see is the fact that they are not very good Christians. The bible clearly states to “obey the laws of the land” That means you do what the government of the land says. By not don’t this they disobeyed the laws of the land and were punished according to the laws. That is black and white.
Also on another note, you really need to also be reporting the fact that the leader of the “free world”, the US, is Christian, and we are killing muslims . Second, if you think for one minute that I have not been part of a church in a Christian religion you are sadly mistaken. The bible does say to obey the laws of the land. These people were punished for that. Is it bad that other countries do not have freedoms, or at least the right to religious choice? Sure is. It is a down right shame.
One other thing that you should see as well that they were being punished on this earth for something that they believe. Do you not think that their rewards will be greater in Heaven for having gone though such pain. You should be thankful to have such examples of people that would die and prove their faith. I also have no need for a racist card. Very few church of the Christian faith practice Christianity. If you see some one on the side of the road do you help them out or drive on pass? More than likely not. Your view of the world is a dangerous place more than likely. You may even be scared of getting robbed, raped, or worse killed. These fears didn’t stop Jesus. As for the lack of freedom in other countries: If Christians were not pushing their ideals onto other people with scare tactics like Hell and eternal fire then these people many have never strayed away from their first religion. The bible also says that you would rather have a mill stone tied around your head and tossed into the ocean than to lead a Christian way from him. If this is true, then you think that it is right to lead others away from the gods/goddess that they worship? Do you consider the punishment for them if you are wrong about your religion?
Christians do not think that they are wrong most of the time as many other faiths do not think that they are wrong. They do how ever make no room for any other religion to be right as well as them. This causes conflicts. One religion not liking another, and thus a war.
You also mentioned something about Christian that are non-Catholic. This is crazy. Catholics were among the first Christians. There is no documentation of “The Church of God” or Baptist or “Church of Christ” in any of the old text, nor was there a Catholic Church either.
I didn’t really come on here to bash Christians. All religions have been persecuted by by other religions. This is part of life. Not one religion deserved any treatment that they received from by another one. Even the so, Christian religions fight among themselves as if they were worshiping 2 different Gods.
The fact is that these 2 people, even though tragic, did something in a country where it is not allowed and they were punished for it. Did the punishment fit the crime, not my laws, not my country, and it is most assuredly not my place to pass judgment on anyone.

How is that for some perspective? What is a common denominator in the ‘worst’ category? Once you figure that out compare it to the countries in the ‘best’ category. Which does not contain the ‘common denominator I speak of. Not as a majority at least.

This period of time is crucial. Not all of you believe this, but I believe that Jesus Christ is coming to this world very soon. I am not against Muslim, Islam, Hinduism…etc. I just want to say that Jesus loves you. I know that some of you will scoff at me and think that this is impossible and that it is blasphemy, but it is true. I love everyone of you, because Jesus loved me, even though I was a terrible sinner. I only pray and hope that you will at least take these words into your heart. I am praying for this world, because the earth is like never before. More war is errupting, and more people are dying. People have pride and arrogance and is adamant in their hold of this world. I do not want to criticize anybody, and I just wish that you all will at least read these words withough contempt. Jesus came to this world because he LOVED you. It was difficult to meet Moslem and christian, because we know they are different and have unique oppinions on religion and life, so keep battling until the end of the world. And what I learn here , The world is full of hate between these two religion, so, for all the christians, pray for God, and stop this inefficient discussion because for us one thing is important is our real, actual effort to help other tortured christians or those who need. Don’t waist your time reading bad words from those who hate christian, because from the beginning it is their faith and their believe that this world should be the same religion, same faith in Moslem. If we continue arguing the victims and blaming, then what will we get ?, So Guys, be peacemaker, the light for your surroundings, lets work for the sake of humanity and pray more. hi, I’ve met the couple mentioned above, they are not angry nor resentful towards those who did it towards them. It seems that only they are the ones who rather focus on the love and forgiveness that Jesus taught and still teaches today (if you let Him). His words on the cross were “forgive them, for they do not know what they do”.
I would encourage you to focus on the courage and forgiveness this couple displays. They would not want to be the cause of the hate spilled in the words above. They would let you know as well that it is not by their own strength that they are able to have this courage and forgiveness towards the culprits, it is Jesus working in them. Allow Jesus to teach you the same, and ask Him that he would teach me that too. Perhaps it is only possible if you go through it yourself.
